Start
To start the tour I recommend two places, but there are of course others the lake. At the Seerosenstrasse in 5616 Meisterschwanden there are numerous parking lots directly at the lake. Restaurants (and accordingly toilets) are available at Seerose or at the Seebad Meisterschwanden. Monday to Saturday the daily parking rate is 7.50 CHF, on Sunday 10.- CHF.
An alternative, especially during the week, you will find in 6287 Aesch (address "am See"). Monday - Friday the parking fee is 1.50 CHF per hour. Snackbar and toilets are available directly at the lake, next to the entry point. Saturday and Sunday the parking hour costs 3.- CHF, which is quite sportive.

Entry point
The entry point into the water is easy in Meisterschwanden as well as in Aesch. In Aesch the "Seebad" is free of charge and open to the public, this place is also a recommendation if you just want to enjoy the day and paddle around on the lake.

Breaks and Hot Spots
Around the lake you can always find small places to linger or larger places for a break. For me, Hallwilersee is one of the most beautiful, medium-sized lakes for SUP, you are always fascinated by nature and the "hidden spots". Here are a few examples of what you can find.

 

 

Aabach, the highlight of the Tour
Attention, it is forbidden to paddle in the Aabach during spring, please respect the nature. From July the Aabach in the north of the Hallwilersee is generally open again. When you paddle through the Aabach you feel like in a paddlers paradise, so clearly a recommendation, beautiful.

Summary
Hallwilersee is one of my favorite lakes thanks to the many "hidden spots", many places to linger and the Aabach (paddleable from July). Beginners must always keep an eye out for boats and course boats. Nature protection zones are marked with yellow buoys and generally you should keep your distance from the reeds, out of respect for nature and the animals. Also beautiful to watch are the sunsets on the Hallwilersee... (Not all photos were taken during the tour)
